BIVOUAC(K)Y SHACK

transient pavilion, california

the pavilion acts as a complimentary story-teller to the history is holds of wine-making in san luis obispo. inspired by a BIO-MIMETIC approach, the pavilion emphasizes the contemporaneous and every changing nature of this history through a kinetic and adaptive pavilion scheme. in doing so, it gives legibility to a larger definition of site, beyond its direct adjacencies.

done in collaboration w/ jerome deck and erica david
